The Flower Club 2025 ~ grow, gather & curate

WEDNESDAYS ~ 10am - 12noon ~ SEE BELOW THE AGENDA FOR EACH SESSION

May - September ~ 5 sessions, choose between full membership or one off taster sessions 

Whether you're a novice flower arranger or a keen gardener, Donna will share her years of experience and expertise in the world of floriculture, so you can become confident in  arranging your own cut flowers from your garden throughout the growing season.

We will meet once a month starting from May to September,  either under the porch or in the flower studio for tea and cake while you watch a flower arranging demonstration using sustainable mechanics by Donna, and then will be invited create in pairs or come together as a group and create large installations and let your creativity go wild!

Once the meeting is over, you can then go back out into the field with your bucket & snips, select and cut your blooms to take home to practice. 

Each month's session will be as different as the seasons themselves, not only will you be learning how to condition flowers and floristry skills, you can take notes and pick up tips on what to grow and keep your cutting patch productive.

Refreshments will be served; locally baked cakes and biscuits along side tea & coffee to keep you fuelled and energised.

The meetings are intended to be fun, relaxed and be a sociable gathering of enthusiasts that will use this time to chat, make friends and feel part of a group of like minded people who share the love of flowers. 

Any arrangements created on the day by the group is not for taking home, although we may have the kit you need in the shop.. this is not one of our bespoke workshops, you only take home the flowers you have picked in the field.

Sessions will probably last around 3hrs

TASTER SESSIONS

If you would like a taster session or know you can't make all 5 sessions, then you can book individual dates when suits.. you can choose more than one!  I'm afraid if you are unable to make it, it's non refundable, but you can use that ticket for another date. The 'flower pack' (see in membership details below) wont be available, but we will supply everything you need while you're here. You will still be able to pick flowers after the session to take home and practice with, but please bring your own bucket to take your flowers home in.

If you can't make a session due to illness or personal reasons, you are more than welcome to come along anytime during the season to pick your bucket of blooms.

WEDNESDAY 23RD JULY ~ SUMMER ~ CREATING HAND TIEDS & GIFT IDEAS, WITH A BOUQUET WRAPPING TUTORIAL 

WEDNESDAY 20TH AUGUST ~ HARVEST FESTIVAL & GATHERING ~ FLORAL CHANDELIERS CREATED WITH FRESH AND DRIED, TUTORIAL ON HARVESTING DRIED FLOWERS TO DRY SUCCESSFULLY AT HOME 

WEDNESDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER ~ AUTUMN ~ FORAGING SEED HEADS, DAHLIAS AND THE LAST OF THE FLOWER FIELD CROPS TO CREATE A 'WALL ART' INSTALLATION
