Summer 25 - 20th July - 2nd September
The Old Dairy
We are thrilled to have The Old dairy with us for their Summer 25 residancy!
The Old Dairy opened up in 2020 as a neighbourhood cafe based in Oulton Broad, Suffolk. Their vision was to bring great speciality coffee to a location that was missing a vibrant hub for locals. They pride themselves on creating warm community vibes, whether it being relaxing on their outdoor terrace or wandering around the beauty of Nicholas Everitts Park and The Broads.
Whilst coffee remains central to their business, they also serve up innovative brunches, baked counter goods and a selection of natural wines.
The Old Dairy focuses on sustainability, seasonal flavours and genuine connection. It is their pleasure to inspire the local community with their shared passion for sourcing ethically grown coffee beans from top roasters locally in Norwich and guest roasters in London.
Come enjoy a stunning brunch on our flower farm.
Owlet’s Corner
Owlet’s Corner is spending the summer at the Southwold Flower Company! Owlet’s Corner is a story and song based group currently running in areas of Norfolk and Suffolk. The group focuses on a different story each week which will be read and sensory activities will be used to compliment the story and engage the children. Children are able to join in with the story and will each have a bag of instruments and props. We will then have songs linked to the theme of the story followed by bubbles and a themed parachute. I will greet and say goodbye to each child individually. Groups are suitable for children from 4 months to 4 years. Booking is available via my website HERE from 2nd July 7pm.
Florence and the Facepaints
Join Artist Lily from ‘Florence and the Facepaints’ for a face paint workshop-within the beautiful setting of The Southwold Flower Company.
Lily is offering 10 children, aged 8 years and above, to join her for a 90 minute session of creativity, sparkles and paint! Sessions will begin at 10:30am.
Children will learn 3 popular designs in this workshop. A rainbow design with clouds, raindrops and glitter. They will also learn how to use a ‘petal brush’ and create her stunning double dipped flowers! Inspired by the breathtaking flower field surrounding them! She will also teach a dinosaur design-with tusks and textured skin! During the session the children will be provided with the highest quality professional-grade face paints, eco glitter balms, brushes, sponges and stencils.
With Lily’s expertise and guidance they also will learn how to master some basic face paint skills in her guided step by step lesson, which will include…
Understanding how face paint works and is used, Learning how to ‘activate’ your face paint and load your paint properly, How to apply the paint effectively, and safely, with brushes and sponges, Stencil work, Line work, Application of glitter balms.
Children will begin on practice boards first, before moving onto their own skin. Then, if they would like to, they will be encouraged to paint their newly learnt designs onto each others arms, faces and even their grown ups-Let’s get creative!
Tickets are £20.00 per child and they must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. All materials for the workshop will be provided. Tickets for this can be booked on this webpage.
